Ray KalvaitisB.Com(Hons), MBA, FLMI, CFP®

Financial Planner

Qualifications:
Ray’s qualifications come from a wealth of financial industry experience and formal education.

Ray is a graduate of Queen’s University’s Bachelor of Commerce B.Com (Hons) program, and a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University’s Masters of Business Administration MBA program. During his 34 years working in the financial services industry, Ray has earned the Fellow, Life Management Institute FLMI designation, and the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation.

Investment Philosophy:
Ray’s investment philosophy begins from a conservative base. Having worked through the “tech bubble”, the “U.S. real estate bubble”, the “2008 world banking crisis” and the numerous recessions and financial crises of the past 30 years, he has learned the importance of protecting your investments.

Ray focuses on proper diversification and investment selection to design your investment portfolios. The objective is to optimize your investment growth at your risk level. So, if you are a “GICs only” investor he’ll shop the market to find you the highest paying GICs available to him within the CDIC insurance limits. If you are an investor looking for higher returns, and willing to progress through the ups and downs of the market, he will expand your portfolio to include high quality market based investments.

Investing is a process that requires constant analysis to avoid the pitfalls and find the best alternatives. We are flooded today with a daily barrage of investment facts and commentaries. Ray’s formal financial training and more than 30 years’ experience help sort the “hysteria” from the news that matters.

Personal:
Ray is an avid sports enthusiast, both as a participant and spectator. Having played varsity basketball for Queen’s University, Ray is a die-hard Raptors fan. Family is important to Ray. He loves spending time with his wife Monica; their 3 children and their growing extended families.
